Nassarawa está formado por trece áreas locales gubernamentales, principalmente: Wamba, Kokona, Keana, Nassarawa/Eggon, Toto, Awe, Akwanga, Keff, Karu, Lafia, Obi, Doma y Nassarawa. Limita al norte con el Estado de Kaduna, al oeste con el Territorio de Capital Federal, Abuja, al sur con los estados de Kogi y Benue y al este con los estados de Taraba y Plateau.

El estado tiene la agricultura como el sostén de su economía con la producción de variadas cosechas a lo largo del año. También se encuentra bendito por sus sólidos minerales, especialmente la sal y bauxita.

El gobierno ha continuado dando atención prioritaria al desarrollo de las facilidades y oportunidades educacionales en el estado. Cuenta con un Politécnico Federal y un Colegio de Educación y otras escuelas de entrenamiento vocacionales. El Estado se vanagloria con muchas instituciones de investigación y enseñanza como el Instituto Nacional de Política y Estudios Estratégicos, en Kuru, y el Instituto Nacional de Investigación de Veterinaria, en Vom, entre otros.

Una buena red de caminos existe dentro del estado, conectando las áreas rurales con las principales ciudades. La Corporación de Ferrocarril Nigeriana (NRC) opera con servicios de tren desde Kuru, Gombe y Maiduguri.

Los Servicios de Cuidados Intensivos y Sanitarios son alentados en el estado a través del establecimiento de Hospitales Generales y otras instituciones sanitarias para hacer disponibles las facilidades sanitarias en todo el estado.

El Estado de Nassarawa tiene los mejores potenciales de toda la nación para el desarrollo de una industria turística viable. Sin embargo, numerosos de sus potenciales están todavía a ser debidamente medidos.

El joven estado se encuentra ricamente dotado de escénicas admiradores y sobresalientes paisajes. Su clima lo hace un centro turístico. Ladia, la capital del estado, tiene temperaturas envidiables con un fascinante ambiente rocoso.

Nassarawa is made up of thirteen local government areas namely; Wamba, Kokona, Keana, Nassarawa/Eggon, Toto, Awe, Akwanga, Keff, Karu, Lafia, Obi, Doma and Nassarawa. It is bounded in the north by Kaduna ESTADO, in the west by the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, in the south by Kogi and Benue ESTADOs and in the east by Taraba and Plateau ESTADOs.

The ESTADO has agriculture as the mainstay of its economy with the production of varieties of cash crops throughout the year. It is also blessed with solid minerals notably salt and bauxite.

The government has continued to give priority attention to the development of educational facilities and opportunities in the ESTADO. It has a Federal Polytechnic and College of Education and other vocational training schools. The ESTADO boast of many institutions of research and learning such as the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru and the National Veterinary Research Institute, Vom among others.

A good network of roads exist within the ESTADO linking all the rural areas and major towns. The Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC) operates train services from Kuru, Gombe and Maiduguri.

Health Care Delivery Services is encouraged in the ESTADO through the establishment of General Hospitals and other health institution to make health facilities available to all in the ESTADO.

Nassarawa ESTADO has the highest potentials in the nation for the development of a viable tourism industry. However, numerous of its potentials are yet to be fully tapped.

The young ESTADO is richly endowed with scenic beau, and conspicuous features. Its temperate climate makes it a tourist centre. Ladia the ESTADO capital has an enviable weather with a fascinating rocky environment.
